The course will be a gorgeous 6.5 mile loop in the Green Mountains of Vermont. Each loop will have 1200 feet of elevation change and sweeping views of the surrounding mountain ranges!
2021 COURSE DESCRIPTION FROM OUR TRAIL GURU MATT :
The course climbs somewhat steeply at first past the trail side oasis, Muddy’s Hut, and through the switchbacks of Noodles Trail before leveling out up the Rabbit Hole. The trail then snakes through some narrow ,and technical at times, terrain with the premier of Yonder Trail before opening up onto a forest road midway up La Gran Aventura. The thousand foot three mile climb ends through a dense, dark spruce forest aptly called the Labyrinth leading to incredible panoramic Green Mountain views at Shrek’s Stone Hut at the top of the trails. The course corkscrews down Wrong Way Trail single-track with a couple of fun descents down some brief, snowy chutes before traversing the back side of the mountain on Bubba Trail through beautiful mixed hardwood forests. Fuster’s Ravine crossing will mark the home stretch with the course opening up onto double track Riverside Run and back to the start/finish. The loop totals approximately 6.5 miles with about 1500 feet of elevation change.
